May God bless you with discomfort Catalyst 2009 Compassion Moment from Catalyst on Vimeo.
At easy answers, half-truths, and superficial relationships
So that you may live deep within your heart.
Bob
May God bless you with anger
At injustice, oppression and exploitation of people
So that you may work for justice, freedom and peace.
To shed for those who suffer pain, rejection, hunger, and war
So that you may reach out your hand to comfort them
And turn their pain into joy.
And may God bless you with enough foolishness
To believe that you can make a difference in the world,
So that you can do what others claim cannot be done
To bring justice and kindness to all our children and the poor.
Amen
A Franciscan Blessing...and a few brave souls who are living its words.
So, funny story - I am using this benediction to close my talk tonight! :)
Thank you for your sweet encouragement!

Wow Shelia, I totally remember this post and can't believe an entire year has passed -- but that means I have been reading your blog for at least that long, yay! :) Gracias for putting your words online, they have added to my life in copious ways! Oh, and totally looking forward to reading Anne's new book!
