Mommies are creative people. They are spinners of tales, co-conspirators in make-believe, and planners of tea parties. They are ponytail wranglers, wardrobe designers, cupcake bakers..... But, every now and then there is a mother that excels all others in her creativity. Yesterday, my friend Iz introduced me to the work of one of these.
In her other life, Adele Enerson is a copyright and concept designer in advertising. But, just now, she is a mommy on maternity leave. She has made better use of the frequent nap-times of a new-born than anyone I have ever seen. She uses ordinary household items and brilliant artistry to craft delightful scenes...picture stories...daydreams...in which lovely Mila is the star.
Visit her blog, Mila's Daydreams, to read about her life in Helsinki (plus a current soujourn in Venice Beach), to see her multifarious creativity in action, and to learn about her upcoming book. In the meantime, take a look at her amazing photographs in the above video. (Husband, Lasse, provides the soundtrack.) You might also enjoy their joint blog, Nonsense.
You're welcome. :)
